Principal Daniel Busch | Grades 5-6, Athletic Director, Principal email Dan

Daniel Busch graduated from Martin Luther College in 2015 and was called to serve Good Shepherd in Burton, MI as a principal and upper grades teacher for 7 years. In 2021, he accepted the call to serve God’s people at St. John in Waterloo, WI. Daniel graduated with a Master’s in Educational Administration from Martin Luther College in 2022. His passion is to serve God’s people in the public ministry as an administrator and teacher. He and his wife Amanda were married in 2015 and now have three children, Judah, Matthias, and Lydia. In his spare time, he likes to spend time with family, play cards, do puzzles and build with Legos, and spend time outdoors. His hobbies include hunting, fishing, and golfing.

Mr. Allan Boeder | Grades 7-8, Technology email Allan

Allan L. Boeder was born quite a ways from the frozen tundra that is Wisconsin. Originally from Key West, FL, he has lived in Wisconsin for nearly all of his life. He grew up in Manitowoc, WI. where he attended Bethany Evangelical Lutheran School from grades K-8. He graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran High School in 2013. While at MLHS he decided to enroll in Martin Luther College. He student taught at St. Mark, Watertown, 20 min. from here. He graduated from MLC in 2017. He received his first assignment for the 2018-2019 school year to emergency teach at St. Mark, Green Bay in the fifth grade classroom. By the end of the school year he had taught nearly all 5th grade subjects, 4th grade English, 6th grade Math, and some Special Education when needed. In May of 2019 he received his permanent assignment at St. John, Waterloo.

Mr. Mike Krebs  |  Grades 3-4 email Mike

Mike was born in Fort Atkinson, WI and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School from K-8. He graduated from Fort Atkinson High School in 1991. In 1994, he traveled to Copenhagen, Denmark, Moscow and St. Petersburg, Russia. He received his education degree from Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN in 1995. Mike was called by Salem Lutheran Church in Lowell, WI to be their Minister of Education and to teach the middle grades at St. John’s in Juneau. He visited London, England and taught kindergarten in Hungary in June, 1999. In 2000, Mike accepted a call to teach 5th and 6th graders at St. Paul’s Lutheran School in Algoma, WI. He taught science and physical education in St. Lucia and visited San Juan, Puerto Rico in August, 2001. In 2005, he accepted a call to teach preschool at Bethany Lutheran Church in Fort Atkinson; he also was the extended learning teacher at St. John’s Lutheran School in Jefferson. In 2006, Mike married Erin Lowrey at Bethany in Fort Atkinson. That same year he accepted a call to teach preschool and the middle grades at St. John’s Lutheran School in Juneau.

Their son, Michel, will be a junior at Luther Prep in Watertown, and their daughter, Hope, will be in eighth grade attending St. John in Waterloo. Mike is an avid Brewers, Packers, Badgers, Bucks, and Marquette fan! He is looking forward to teaching the 3rd and 4th graders when school starts!

Miss Tara Winecke  |  Grades 1-2, Music email Tara

Tara was born in St. Paul, Minnesota but spent most of her childhood in Iowa. She wanted to teach His little lambs from a very young age, assisting with Sunday School and various Vacation Bible Schools at church. Tara attended Martin Luther College in 2015 and graduated in May 2020. She was called to teach at St. John and has been there since then. Tara enjoys guiding children in using their gifts to worship, serve, and praise God in a variety of ways! When not at school she enjoys playing with her dog Daphne, playing the piano, working out, hanging out with friends and family, and spending time with Jesus through His Word.

Mrs. Erin Krebs  |  Kindergarten email Erin

Erin lives in Beaver Dam with her husband Mike who is the 3-4 grade teacher here at St. John’s School in Waterloo. She has a son, Michel, who is attending Luther Prep. She also has a daughter, Hope. Erin was born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan and attended Michigan Lutheran Seminary for high school. She graduated from MLC in 2003 with degrees in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. Erin enjoys spending time with family especially running her children to all different sporting events whether it be basketball, baseball, dance, or even water ski show team!

Miss Lauren Kamps |  3K/4K email Lauren

Lauren Kamps was born and raised on a small dairy farm in Coleman, Wisconsin. She has five siblings: one older brother, three younger brothers, and one younger sister. From preschool to eighth grade, she attended a Lutheran grade school and then went to Luther Preparatory School in Watertown for high school. Lauren graduated from Luther Prep in 2019 and went on to Martin Luther College majoring in Early Childhood Education. She graduated from MLC in May of 2023 and is very excited to begin her first call at St. John Lutheran in Waterloo!

Mrs. Heather Hoefler  |  3K/4K email Heather

Heather Hoefler is one of the 3K/4K teachers this year at St. John. She lives in Fort Atkinson with her husband, Bob, and her 4 kids, Alyx-19, Joey-13, Matthew-10, and Ellie-7. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her family. One of the things that they enjoy is spending time outside and going hiking and camping.

Mrs. Heather Zimbric  |  Administrative Assistant email Heather

Heather Zimbric has lived in Waterloo basically all her life. She still resides here with her husband Aaron, and three children Braxton, Myles and Carson. She enjoys spending most of her time with her family. Her hobbies include gardening, hunting, walking her dogs, nature walks with her family, and going to all her boys’ sporting events. She is really excited to be at St. John.

Mrs. Susan McDermott |  Government Coordinator email Susan

Susan is a mother to 5 with 10 grandkids. She worked for Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch as a Senior Registered Assistant doing stock, mutual fund, bond and option trades for clients and at night for a CPA firm doing personal taxes and bookkeeping. Susan has written and published two books, one an inspirational and the other a children’s field guide to prairies. Gardening to grow and preserve her own vegetables and fruit is a passion. She is also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
