Principal Mark Eternick | Grades 7-8, Principal
Mark grew up in Lomira, WI and attended Winnebago Lutheran Academy in Fond du Lac, WI. He graduated from Dr. Martin Luther College in 1982, with a Bachelor of Science degree in education.
He has been privileged to serve in two congregations. He was first assigned to Pilgrim Lutheran School in Menomonee Falls, WI and served as teacher/principal for 11 years. He then received the call to St. John Lutheran School in 1993.
He is married to Wanda, who also teaches piano at St. John. They have been blessed with five children, three of which are also in the public ministry.

Mr. Allan Boeder | Grades 5-6, Athletics
Allan L. Boeder was born quite a ways from the frozen tundra that is Wisconsin. Originally from Key West, FL, he has lived in Wisconsin for nearly all of his life. He grew up in Manitowoc, WI. where he attended Bethany Evangelical Lutheran School from grades K-8. He graduated from Manitowoc Lutheran High School in 2013. While at MLHS he decided to enroll in Martin Luther College. He student taught at St. Mark, Watertown, 20 min. from here. He graduated from MLC in 2017. He received his first assignment for the 2018-2019 school year to emergency teach at St. Mark, Green Bay in the fifth grade classroom. By the end of the school year he had taught nearly all 5th grade subjects, 4th grade English, 6th grade Math, and some Special Education when needed. In May of 2019 he received his permanent assignment at St. John, Waterloo where he currently serves as the K-8 Phy-Ed teacher, 5-6 teacher, 5-8 Science Teacher, and Athletic Director.

Mrs. Gretchen Asmus | Grades 3-4, Technology
Gretchen was born and raised in Richfield, WI, the youngest of 11 Thiesfeldt children. She attended David’s Star Lutheran School and Kettle Lutheran High School. Her next four years were spent at Dr. Martin Luther College. Upon graduating, she was assigned a one year call to St. Croix Lutheran High School. The following year, she married Andy Asmus (teacher at Lakeside Lutheran High School). They have been blessed with three daughters, Sofie (20), Josie (18), and Shayla (14).
Through the years, she has taught grades 7-8 at St. Paul, Lake Mills, 3rd grade at St. Matthew’s, Oconomowoc, and childcare at St. Paul, Lake Mills.

Mrs. Karla Haley | Grades K-2, Music
Karla grew up in Columbus, WI. She attended Zion Lutheran Grade School and is a graduate of Lakeside Lutheran High School. She received a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Martin Luther College in 2015. Karla teaches K-2, 8 music, Junior Choir & she is also the Music Coordinator. Karla is married to Eric Haley and has one son.

Mrs. Linda Schwartz | K-8, Departmentalized
Linda graduated from Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, MI. She went on to Martin Luther College and graduated & received her first teaching assignment to Mt. Calvary Lutheran School in LaCrosse, WI teaching 1st grade. Soon after she married Armin Schwartz and they raised 4 wonderful sons and now have 4 beautiful daughter-in-laws with seven grandchildren. Linda accepted a call in 1995 to teach K-1 at St. John in Waterloo. Linda is currently teaching part-time and is able to interact with all the students in the school by teaching Kindergarten reading, 7-8 Spelling and K-8 Art. She is also an accompanist for Jr. Choir and Head Organist.

Mrs. Kerri Esmay | 3K/4K Director & Teacher
Kerri’s love for early childhood began many years ago in Ft. Worth, Texas. Since then she has homeschooled her two children, started a preschool for ages 2-5 in Louisiana, and been director at centers in Manhattan and Topeka, Kansas. She is very thankful for the opportunities and experiences the Lord has brought her through. Her ministry has been blessed as she’s gone through NAEYC accreditation, taken a course on Conscious Discipline, and attended multiple training hours on best practice in early childhood education. She loves the honesty and boldness 3 and 4 year olds exhibit. She loves hearing them sing praises to Jesus all day long. Her favorite part of the day is Bible Time. Oh to have the faith of a child. She thanks the Lord for the opportunity to spend her days with wee ones and teach them about the One who is our everything, Jesus!! She is married to Pastor Esmay, one of the shepherds at St. John. The Lord has entrusted them with two of his precious lambs, Hannah and Drew, who attend Luther Prep. Her hobbies include golfing, scrapbooking, Jazzercise, playing organ, and watching her children do what they love to do!

Katie Musser | 3K/4K Teacher Assistant

Tammy Musser | Administrative Assistant
Tammy graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1979 and the Account Clerk program at WITI in 1981. She married Paul Musser in June, 1983 and they were blessed with two children. They moved to the Waterloo area in 2001 so their children could attend a WELS parochial school and attend high school at Lakeside Lutheran. She has been working at St. John since March of 2003.
